The Learning for Life Proud to be part of The Learning for Life

Year 3

Welcome back to online learning again.  Each day I will put up a timetable of activities on the class webpage.  Please save all work and bring into school on Monday 19th July, I will then mark, reward work and stick into the relevant books.

Zoom sessions will commence on Monday at 9:00am and 2:00pm for 30 minutes each.

9:00am-we will discuss the day’s activities.

2:00pm-we will share work/answer any questions.

Please do not hesitate to email me or send me pictures of your child’s work.

If your child is unable to attend the zooms please email me at: cnorthwood@daven.cheshire.sch.uk

School will be notified if any child is not on the zoom with no email explanation to me and then follow up calls will be made.

Thank you for your support at this difficult time.  Can’t wait to see all the children again back in the classroom for the end of term.

Welcome back.

I hope you have all had a great first few weeks, I certainly have.  I know this term looks a little different to what we are normally used to so if you have any questions then please ask.

PE

This year children will need to come to school in their PE kit on a Tuesday.  As the weather is turning colder, it is advisable to have appropriate outdoor kit as sessions will be taking place outdoors.

Our learning

In English we have already completed an alternative fairytale-they are fantastic!  We are now writing dramatic stories based on the text 'Flood'.  In Maths we are using a new scheme called 'Power Maths' and in Science our topic is Rocks and Soil and The Stone Age in History.

Homework

This term times tables need to be practiced.  There will be no written homework set just yet.  The children should be reading regularly at home and diaries brought in daily as we are also reading regularly in class.

Thank you for your continued support

Mrs C Northwood
